If I'm forced to upgrade (again) or even worse, move to your overpriced web-based option, I will be no longer be a QuickBooks customer. I am currently using QB Desktop Mac 2020. I'm getting tired of this hassle and expense (like most other Mac users) and have strongly researched and considered other more Mac-friendly options.
Isn't that one of the primary purposes of Apple (or any tech company) releasing beta versions? So that 3rd party software developers have time to create compatible updates BEFORE the official release date? It feels like QB for Mac is not and has never been a priority for Intuit. This is my 4th version of QuickBooks (since I'm continually being forced to upgrade just to keep using my Mac). I'm curious as to why other software companies can provide compatible versions of their software BEFORE a new MacOS release, and Intuit can not.

I do understand the frustration that comes from waiting for verification of OS compatibility with QuickBooks Mac and/or an update, and that is on our minds as we are working quickly to complete all the checks and testing needed so we can officially get your software supported on Monterey. We are working to provide all users on supported versions an officially compatible QuickBooks Mac on Monterey ASAP. Unfortunately we can’t pre-announce exact dates but thank you for asking about compatibility now instead of immediately upgrading to the new OS and potentially encountering issues that could interrupt your workflow.
We focus on providing support for OS upgrades as close to the public release dates as the testing allows, but can only make the claim of compatibility for a version of the product once we have tested thoroughly and have completed delivery of the update for any needed changes, however major or minor those changes might be. Our team is working to provide a stable and positive experience to our users who want to upgrade to the newest OS. After Apple officially releases the new OS (we learn the release date at the same time as you) we have to again test and qualify everything - as there are often last minute changes between the pre-release and release versions of the OS that also need to be accounted for and may cause different issues across the different product versions that require diagnosing, fixing, and retesting - before we can ship out any needed updates.
The development team on QuickBooks Mac monitors all new macOS releases and tests all supported versions of QuickBooks Mac against the available beta versions of that OS in the months leading up to the public release.
